When I was pregnant, I had a boy’s name picked out right away. I couldn’t find a girl’s name for the life of me. I tried baby name books, online, friend’s suggestions, my mother’s suggestion, etc. I just wasn’t finding one, but I didn’t give up. I tried the baby name book two weeks before my daughter was born. I figured I would blind flip pages and when I stopped, I had to choose a name from that letter category. Then I stopped at K and my daughter’s name was decided: Kamea Havana.   It fit perfectly and it suited her. It was not a common name but neither is my name. Let’s take a gander at popular girl names from around the world.

1In Argentina popular girl names are:

Isabella – Cute right? It means God is My Oath.
Valentina – Romantic. It means strong, vigorous and powerful.
Sofia – Soft and feminine sounding. It means wisdom and skill.

In Canada:
Emma – Sweet sounding. It means whole or universal
Olivia – Sounds cutesy. It’s meaning is Olive. Still sounds cute though.
Ava – Kind of sounds romantic. It means voice or sound in Persian.

Scotland:
Lucy – Sweet but simple. It’s meaning is light. There are a bunch of variations of this name.
Ella – A sweet, cute name which means beautiful fairy. (Good choice Marc and Mandy!)
Katie – Nice sounding. It’s meaning is pure. Very nice!
