We love Christmas parties. So do our kids! Throwing a kids’ Christmas party is so much fun. So many great ideas when it comes to giving your kids a great holiday party. Here are some awesome tips for hosting a kid’s holiday party.

Tip #1) Don’t overdo it on the decorations

1

– I know, you love Christmas and you love decorating. But for a kid’s Christmas party you don’t need to go all wacky. Too many decorations can overload and make them overly hyper. They are kids, and kids are ok with simple.

Tip #2) Make sure you have some great games

– Kids love games and love activities. So, make sure that you have some great games such as: Pin the tail on the reindeer, Frosty’s scavenger hunt, Christmas Bingo or Saran Wrap Ball.

Tip #3) Take your time on menu planning

Kids are the easiest people to plan a menu for. You can go all out or go easy on it. Kids are adaptable and will eat what you lay out there. If they are hungry they won’t care what’s on the table.

Tip #4) Make a place for them

If you section off a part of the house just for the party, that’s not a bad thing especially if you have wee ones that love Legos or watching movies etc. That makes it all that much easier.

Tip #5) Have a crafting table

1

These are a great thing to have a kid’s party. It works because it keeps them busy when they are tired of watching movies, playing games etc.

Tip #6) Stock up in the bathroom

Next to the main area in the home, the bathroom is the second most used room in the house. Make sure that it’s well-stocked.

Tip #7) Use covered cups

For a party with wee ones, make sure that you have labeled covered cups to avoid spills as much as possible.

Tip #8) Use plastic plates and cups

1

Get paper plates and plastic forks. This way your precious dinner ware isn’t going to be in the hands of little ones. Plus, it’s easier to clean up!
